Our Fees

CICC-compliant fee schedule

Transparent fees. No surprises.

Halani's fees are flat per milestone and disclosed upfront in your engagement letter. Government fees (paid directly to IRCC, ESDC, or panel physicians) are listed separately so you always know what's going where.

How our pricing works:
  • Flat fees per milestone — paid into trust, released as work is completed
  • Free 15-minute initial assessment — submit the form on /apply for a written eligibility read
  • Government fees are separate — paid directly to IRCC by you, with our help where needed
  • Family discounts — additional applicants under one application get reduced rates
  • Flat fees shown are Halani's professional retainer; you'll get a firm written quote in your engagement letter

Three ways to engage

Fees FAQ

Are Halani's fees competitive with other RCICs?
Our fees sit in the middle of the regulated RCIC market for most services — meaningfully below most immigration lawyers (who charge $5,000-15,000 for equivalent work) and broadly comparable to other Class L3 RCIC-IRB consultants. We publish a transparent fee schedule rather than quoting case-by-case — most competitors hide fees entirely.
When do I pay? Is it upfront?
No. Halani follows the CICC's trust-account rules: fees are paid into a trust account and released as milestones are completed. For most services, the retainer schedule is: 30% on engagement, 40% on file submission, 30% on decision/landing. You don't pay the full fee until the work is done.
Do you accept payment plans?
Yes, for most services. We accept a wide range of payment configurations including monthly installments, milestone-based payments, and family-pooled funds. Discuss specific arrangements at intake.
What if my application is refused?
Halani's professional fee structure includes the milestone work completed up to the decision. We don't refund work performed. If a procedural fairness response or judicial review is needed after refusal, that's a separate scope and fee. We do offer reduced re-application fees if we represented the original application and refusal is on procedural rather than fundamental grounds.
Are government fees included?
No. IRCC government fees (processing fees, RPRF, biometrics, OWP fees) are paid directly by you to IRCC, separate from Halani's professional fee. Third-party costs (medical exam, language test, ECA, GIC) are also separate. Our retainer covers Halani's professional time only.
Do you accept Legal Aid Ontario for refugee cases?
No. We do not accept Legal Aid Ontario certificates and we do not bill Legal Aid Ontario directly. Our refugee and immigration services are provided on a private-fee basis through a written retainer agreement. As an RCIC-IRB, we are authorized to represent clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board; however, we do not provide services through Legal Aid Ontario. If you believe you may qualify for Legal Aid Ontario, you may contact Legal Aid Ontario directly to confirm your eligibility and available options.
Can I get a quote without paying for a consultation?
Yes — our free eligibility assessment at /apply gives you a written pathway recommendation and a fee range within 24-48 hours. The paid consultation is for clients who want a detailed live discussion before deciding.
Why are business immigration fees so much higher than other services?
Business immigration files (SUV, OINP Entrepreneur, C11) require business-plan preparation, financial-due-diligence review, multi-stage submission strategy, and ongoing operational guidance. Strong business files typically take 80-120 hours of professional work over 18-36 months — vs 25-40 hours for a typical Express Entry file. Fees reflect that depth.
