“Halani's office got my outland spousal sponsorship approved in 9 months on the first attempt. The relationship-evidence package was incredibly thorough. They prepared every document and we just signed. Worth every penny.”
“Was stuck in Express Entry pool for over a year with CRS 462. Halani's team mapped me into OINP Tech Draw. Nomination came in 4 months, ITA two draws later. Now landed in Toronto with my family. Outstanding strategy work.”
“From Riyadh to Calgary on Express Entry. They built me a CRS-improvement plan including IELTS retake, NOC reclassification, and OINP enhancement, and we went from 432 to 491 to ITA to COPR. Clear, honest, professional throughout.”
“Study permit for U of T, approved in 5 weeks on first attempt. They made me redo my SOP three times until it was airtight. That attention to detail is why my application worked when so many others get refused.”
“LMIA work permit + family OWP + study permit for my son, all on one file. The employer-side coordination was complex and Halani's team handled all of it. Approved in 11 weeks.”

Study Permit · Financial Proof
You must prove you can pay tuition for your first year plus CAD 22,895 (single applicant, outside Quebec) or the Quebec requirement for living expenses for one year, plus funds for return travel. The cost-of-living figure is higher for accompanying family members. IRCC expects proof such as GIC, bank statements, education loans, or sponsor letters. The amount is updated annually; check the current figure on the IRCC website.
A GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) is not legally mandatory for all applicants, but it is strongly recommended for students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and similar countries because it satisfies IRCC that first-year living costs are secured. Many visa offices treat GIC as the clearest proof of funds. A typical GIC is CAD 15,000-20,000 from a participating Canadian bank.
Yes. You can use a sponsor’s funds if you provide a notarized affidavit of support, their bank statements (usually 4-6 months), proof of income (employment letter, tax returns, business docs), and a letter explaining the relationship and commitment to pay. The officer must be satisfied the funds are available and non-fraudulent.
Large, unexplained deposits can lead to refusal for insufficient proof of funds. IRCC looks for a steady buildup of savings or a clear source (sale of asset, loan disbursement, scholarship). Explain the source in a letter and provide supporting documents (sale deed, loan agreement, award letter). Avoid borrowing money only to show balance and then returning it.
IRCC accepts fixed deposits (FDs), savings, and current accounts. FDs are acceptable if they are liquid (can be broken without penalty or with stated penalty) and the letter from the bank confirms the amount, currency, and that funds are available. Include a bank letter on letterhead with stamp and contact details.
